Race Day Notes:
Each week The Bookie will interview one Analyst.
This week the Bookie interviewed The Bookie.
The Bookie: Bookie, after two years, you have never won a purse. Looks like this year will be no different as you’ve only had one trifecta so far. Because you see everyone’s picks before they are posted have you ever thought about changing your picks after you’ve seen theirs? In other words, cheat.
The Bookie: I can’t believe you’d ever question the integrity of The Bookie! I would never *cough* never *cough*…. I’ve got no further comment.
The Bookie: Well goodness, that was a bit of an over reaction. She walked out of the interview! I guess we might never know.

Big Tuna and B-Reezy secure the first trifectas of the Fibonacci Stakes, as the Vikings and the Jets struggle against the headwinds of prediction.
The Analysts have selected their Home Teams to start the third annual Fibonacci Stakes. The entrants are:
Slate of Analysts and Home Teams for the Fibonacci Stakes III (2016-17)
Slate of Games
Slate of Games for the Fibonacci Stakes III (2016-17)
The slate of games for the Fibonacci Stake III presents incalculable challenges this year as many playoff caliber teams will test the Home Teams of the Analysts.
In addition, we have three head-to-head clashes between the Analysts’ Home Teams: Dolphins v. Chargers (Leg 2), Dolphins v. Rams (Leg 3), and a clash of current playoff contenders to end the season, Cowboys v. Vikings (Leg 5).
Three teams go on bye weeks during the month, limiting the opportunities to select these teams two weeks in a row: Bears (Leg 1), Raiders (Leg 2), and Chargers (Leg 3). There are fewer than 8 games to pick from in all but one Leg (4).
There also appear to be a few un-owned teams that compete two weeks in a row: Jets (1 and 2), Texans (3 and 4), 49ers (4 and 5), Buccaneers (4 and 5), and Panthers (4 and 5). These un-owned teams may be selected two weeks in a row for the Fibonacci bonus trifecta points.
Home teams owned by an Analyst are in bold. The team at the left is the visiting team; the team at the right is the host (playing at home). There are a half dozen or so featured games, including four Sunday night games of the week (subject change), two Thanksgiving day games, one more Thursday night game, and two Monday night games.
Picks
Remember: Every Analyst has a bias for his or her Home Team and may not pick the sponsored team to lose. Analysts do not have to pick his or her Home Team to win a trifecta. *Bonus* trifecta points are earned for picking the same team two weeks in a row. See the Fibonacci Stakes Rules for more information.
Email three picks to The Bookie before each leg (week) of the Race. The first picks are due on Saturday, November 5.
Despite another brutal week in the Run of the Black-Eyed Analysts, the current leader B-Reezy nets his 16th Correct Pick to become the clear front-runner (3 Trifecta Points, 16 Correct Picks) at the midway point of the season!
Within one length, Kal Krome clings to second place (2 Trifecta Points, 15 Correct Picks) over Wise Orangutan in third (2 Trifecta Points, 14 Correct Picks) and Atwork in fourth (2 Trifecta Points, 13 Correct Picks).
In fifth, Big Tuna poises for sprint to second place with 1 Trifecta Point and 15 Correct Picks.

Tiebreakers after Leg 8 for the Analyst of the Year III
The Run of the Black-Eyed Analysts lives up to its billing!
With just over 14 minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, The Big Tuna had all of the odds in his favor. Little Tuna, his last challenger, was down by 10 points, 1st and ten on the 25 yard-line, and according to one win probability calculator had only a 6.4% chance of winning the Preakness. But, the World Football Trifecta deities intervened, and the winner is….
Little Tuna’s Highest Win Probability in the Final Leg of the Player Haters Preakness
Little Tuna! She takes the Player Haters Preakness 2016-17 for her first win of the third season. After taking an early lead in the first leg, she suckerpunched the competition into submission as her Cowboys went 3-0 in the month. Congratulations LT!
