Down the backstretch, the The Test of the Computations was a real puzzler as only one Analyst earned a *base* Trifecta!
Adding 10 points in Leg 3, Wise Orangutan (24 points) moves to the front, five lengths ahead of The Strategist (19 points), his nearest challenger in second place.
At 15 points each, Craft Brew, Sponge Mom, Woody, and Little Tuna are in a four-way tie for third place. Currently, it is too close too call: Sponge Mom has tiebreakers on Craft Brew and Little Tuna, while Woody has an edge on Sponge Mom but is in a statistical tie with Little Tuna.
Rounding out the middle of the field, B-Reezy (13 points) moves up the board into seventh place, two lengths in front of Big Tuna (11 points) who falls into eighth place.
In the back of the field, Jimmy V (8 points) is in ninth, KateTDid climbs into tenth place, The Bookie (6 points) drops one spot to eleventh position, followed by Atwork (3 points) in twelfth over Roxy Trot (3 points) in thirteenth place on second tiebreaker (2 Correct Home Team Picks).

Spit Box:
1. CURSE 2. Non cursed picks: 3. Need some points this week🤞 4. I’ll stay with the same mounts for this leg of the race. 5. Wanted to go with GB but they’re a little battered;)
Coming out of the far turn, the The Test of the Computations is shaping up!
With the only *base* Trifectas in Leg 2, The Strategist (14 points) and Wise Orangutan (14 points) are running neck and neck (currently, no leader on tiebreakers). Big Tuna (11 points) in third place and Craft Brew (10 points) in fourth place trail closely if the lengthy, five-Leg Crown Race.
In the middle of the field, five Analysts have solid starts with 8 points each: Jimmy V, B-Reezy, Sponge Mom, Woody, and Little Tuna. Little Tuna has 1 Correct Home Team Pick, but Sponge Mom has a head-to-head tiebreaker over her, so there is no clear candidate for fifth place at this time.
The Bookie (6 points) heads the back of the field in tenth position, followed by Atwork and Roxy Trot (3 points) in eleventh place, and KateTDid molting with 0 points.

Out of the gates, five Analysts nab the base Trifecta (6 points). Craft Brew, The Bookie, Big Tuna, The Strategist and Wise Orangutan take an early lead. The Bookie, Big Tuna, and The Strategist net 1 Correct Home Team Pick for tiebreakers.
With lame Trifectas (3 points), Atwork, Jimmy V, B-Reezy, Roxy Trot, Sponge Mom, Woody, and Little Tuna crowd the midfield. KateTDid sputters at the gun with 0 points.

The Analysts have submitted their papers and claimed their Home Teams. The Claim Box for Fibonacci Stakes VII is:
Home Team Claims for Fibonacci Stakes VII
Slate of Games
Slate of Games for Fibonacci Stakes VII
The Fibonacci Stakes looks to be wide open this year as the Slate of Games features 46 games over 5 Legs, and features thirteen head-to-head contests! The most challenging may be the 1st and 3rd Legs when only 8 total games and 3 head-to-head games are available for selections (both weeks). Several playoff-caliber teams go on Bye weeks during the Stakes, limiting the potential for Fibonacci bonuses during the month!
Six Home Teams are bye-weeks during Fibonacci Stakes VII. Bye weeks will limit the following teams as Picks for Fibonacci bonuses: Browns and Eagles (Leg 1), Chiefs (Leg 2), Bears and Bills (Leg 3), and Buccaneers (Leg 5). Bonus points are not possible when these teams are in or coming out of a Bye Week.
Alternatively, several un-Claimed teams are eligible for Fibonacci bonuses during the Race: 49ers (Leg 1 to Leg 2), Colts (Leg 1 to Leg 2), Panthers (Leg 1 to Leg 2), Colts (Leg 2 to Leg 3), Jaguars (Leg 2 to Leg 3), Rams (Leg 2 to Leg 3), Colts (Leg 3 to Leg 4), Jaguars (Leg 3 to Leg 4), and Broncos (Leg 4 to Leg 5). The un-Claimed teams must be taken in both Legs (and Win the second) to yield Fibonacci bonuses.
Home teams owned by an Analyst are in bold. The team at the left is the visiting team; the team at the right is the host (playing at home). There are many featured games: five Thursday nights (TNF), five Sunday nights (SNF), and four Monday nights (MNF).
Picks
Remember: Every Analyst has a bias for his or her Home Team and may NOT pick their Claimed team to lose. Analysts do not have to pick his or her Home Team to win. See the Stakes Rules for more.
Email picks in private to The Bookie before each Leg (week) of the Race. Thursday Picks are due at 5pm EST / 2pm PST on Thursdays. All Sunday and Monday Picks are due on Saturdays at 5pm EST / 2pm PST. No Picks for games after kickoffs are accepted.
No revisions (Re-Picks) are possible after the Picks have been released to all Analysts by The Bookie.
Headed down the home stretch, the Fibonacci Stakes narrowed to a sprint between six Analysts with different team Picks combinations for the Win! It looked as if front runners would take the Crown, but then their Home Teams spit the bit, creating an opening on the outside rail for…
Wise Orangutan! With two underdogs facing the #1 seeds in their conference, Wise Orangutan nets the only 21-point Trifecta in Leg 5 to bring his total to 43 points for the Win. After a strong run on Thanksgiving Day, Woody sputtered in the final third of the home stretch, but still Places with 41 points. The Bookie challenged until the very end, but then her colt bucked the ball to the opposing team, finishing with the Show at 37 points.
B-Reezy entered the home stretch with a favorable bill-ing, but made an unwise switch at Picks, holding him back to fourth place at 35 points.
Craft Brew edges out Roxy Trot for fifth place. Both scored 30 points, and Craft Brew had 1 more Correct Home Team Pick than Roxy Trot in sixth place. Jimmy V strolls into seventh place at 29 points with four Trifectas during the Stakes, but only 1 Fibonacci Bonus Pick.
Sponge Mom led entering the home stretch, but struggled to gain traction. She ends in eighth place with 28 Trifecta points. Atwork takes ninth place with 27 points after solid run in the final three Legs. Big Tuna finishes in tenth with 25 points on the strength of the fifth leg of his Picks.
KateTDid stumbled down the home stretch, Boxed Out by The Bookie, to end in eleventh place with 24 points. The Strategist struggles with the math and finishes in twelfth place at 15 Trifecta points, leading only Little Tuna who labored from wire-to-wire on the long track with 7 Trifecta points.

Currently, Sponge Mom and Woody are tied for first place with 28 points each, and B-Reezy follows closely in third place with 27 points. All three Analysts can make the same three Picks this week.
A *base* Trifecta with three Fibonacci Bonuses is worth 21 points. A *lame* Trifecta with two Fibonacci Bonuses is worth 13 points. If any of the three leaders earn the *lame* Trifecta, the other Analysts will need to reach at least 40 or 41 points to challenge for the Win! If none earn a *lame* Trifecta, 29 points is the target for the Win.
Scenarios for the Win
Sponge Mom holds the tiebreakers over Woody so she can take the Crown with a 21-point *base* Trifecta. Woody obviously needs Sponge Mom to falter for her 21-point *base* Trifecta to Win, and B-Reezy needs both Sponge Mom and Woody to falter for his 21-point *base* Trifecta to Win.
Notably, the three leaders share two Picks in common with one another, so (a) if two of these Picks are incorrect, then only one will finish the home stretch with a *lame* Trifecta at 40 or 41 points, or (b) if one or more of the leaders change one Pick, then the most they can earn is a 16-point Trifecta for 43 to 44 points total.
Either scenario (a or b ) opens up opportunities for…
The Bookie (24) and KateTDid (24) who trail by only 4 points. Both also share two picks in common with the three leaders, so they need the Patriots to be one of the losers this week. They will need to keep the same three Picks to beat the leaders outright (more points, no tiebreakers)–plus KateTDid needs The Bookie‘s Saints Pick to lose for the Win. Wise Orangutan at 22 points can also take advantage of scenario a or b if he keeps his same three Picks because two of his Picks (Texans/Ravens) are the opponents of the leaders’ Picks (Patriots/49ers).
Craft Brew is partially Boxed Out by Woody and B-Reezy due to Saints and Bills Picks. If these two teams win, Woody reaches 41 points — 1 more point than Craft Brew can earn with a 21-point Trifecta. But, Craft Brew owns the head-to-head tiebreaker with B-Reezy (Leg 1) so he would move up to Place if no other Analyst reaches 40 or more points. He can also try a craft-y change of Picks for a unique set to score a 16-point Trifecta and hope that no other Analyst does better than 34 points total.
Jimmy V and Roxy Trot are fully Boxed Out by Woody. Jimmy V can Place by trailing Woody if no other Analyst earns 39 points, or Roxy Trot can place if no other Analyst earns 38 points (including Jimmy V who would have to change at least one Pick). If either switch one Pick to avoid the Box Out for a 16-point Trifecta, they can reach 34 or 33 points and hope that no leading Analyst gets a *lame* Trifecta with Fibonacci bonuses.
The Strategist is partially Boxed Out by KateTDid (Colts and Bills). At best, she can Place with the same three Picks. If she changes one Pick to make a unique set and go for 31 points total, she will need every Analyst ahead of her to bust Trifectas this week or no other Analyst to finish higher than 30 points for the Win.
Atwork has a unique set of Picks that make it possible for him to reach 31 points total. He also will need all leading Analysts to bust Trifectas or no other Analyst to finish higher than 30 points for the Win.
Little Tuna also has a unique set of Picks that can take her to 28 points total and add 1 more Correct Home Team Pick. If all other Analysts bust or finish no better than 27 points, she has the outside chance to force a tiebreaker with Sponge Mom and Woody in her favor for the Win (we think Sponge Mom would have to miss at least two Fibonacci Picks, including the 49ers, for that to happen).
Analyst of the Year | Eliminations
Analysts have to be within 4 Trifectas of Jimmy V to remain in the Marathon of the Ass in Week 14.
If Jimmy V earns another Trifecta, a) Big Tuna, Sponge Mom, and Woody must also earn a Trifecta to remain in the Race for the Win and b) Wise Orangutan and Little Tuna are eliminated for the Win.
If Jimmy V‘s Trifecta busts, Wise Orangutan and Little Tuna must earn a Trifecta to stay in contention for the Win.
