Analyst of the Year V

The Marathon of the Ass has tightened up as the current leader struggles to maintain her blistering pace for three straight weeks.

The Strategist (6 Trifectas and 29 Correct Picks) continues to lead the field, but Craft Brew (5 Trifectas and 27 Correct Picks) pulls within one length around the far turn of the season competition.

All with 4 Trifectas, Roxy Trot adds to her Correct Picks total (28) to hold onto Show over B-Reezy (25 Correct Picks) and Little Tuna (24 Correct Picks) — the latter just outside of the Winner’s Circle.

Staring at elimination in the coming weeks with 3 Trifectas each, Big Tuna (26 Correct Picks), Jimmy V (25 Correct Picks, and Wise Orangutan (22 Correct Picks) fill out the middle of the field in sixth, seventh, and eighth place, respectively.

Sponge Mom clings to hope for the Win in ninth place with 2 Trifectas (23 Correct Picks).

In tenth place, The Bookie (1 Trifecta) sees her chances for a Win in the AoY fade behind the leader, and joins Atwork (0 Trifectas) on the also-ran sheet.

Despite faltering in recent weeks, The Strategist maintains her two length lead over the rest of the field with only five weeks to go. She has 6 Trifectas and 27 Correct Picks for first place.

The contest for Place heated up in the past week as four Analysts now have 4 Trifectas on the year. Roxy Trot reclaims second place with 26 Correct Picks. B-Reezy and Craft Brew are in a dead heat for Show with 24 Correct Picks each. Little Tuna falls to fifth place with 23 Correct Picks.

With 3 Trifectas each, Big Tuna (25 Correct Picks) clings to sixth place by a head over Jimmy V (24 Correct Picks) in seventh, and comfortably over Wise Orangutan (20 Correct Picks) in eighth.

In ninth place, Sponge Mom (2 Trifectas and 22 Correct Picks)  takes a one length lead over The Bookie (1 Trifecta and 19 Correct Picks) in tenth.

Atwork brings up the rear, still seeking his first Trifecta. Although now eliminated from the Win for Analyst of the Year, he is still able to Place at this time.

Week 11 is a bust for the Analysts….unless you are The Strategist.

The Strategist holds a two length lead with her 6 Trifectas and 25 Correct Picks. With only six weeks to go, her next Trifecta may eliminate the first Analyst from the annual Marathon of the Ass.

Little Tuna keeps second place with 4 Trifectas and 21 Correct Picks.

Big Tuna (3 Trifectas) draws even with Roxy Trot (3 Trifectas) for third place as both have 23 Correct Picks, second only to The Strategist.

Also with 3 Trifectas, B-Reezy (21 Correct Picks) pulls even with Craft Brew (21 Correct Picks) in a tie for fifth place.

Jimmy V (2 Trifectas and 21 Correct Picks) remains in seventh place, still comfortably ahead of Wise Orangutan (2 Trifectas and 17 Correct Picks) in eighth place.

In ninth place, Sponge Mom (1 Trifecta and 19 Correct Picks) still cannot find the lions or tigers to support her Bears! The Bookie (1 Trifecta) follows one head behind with 18 Correct Picks. Atwork (0 Trifectas) remains in last place.

Quietly, Little Tuna has surged from out of the school to take sole possession of second place with 4 Trifectas and 20 Correct Picks. Both The Strategist and Little Tuna have had 3 Trifectas in a row and can tie the record set by Kal Krome next week (4 Trifectas in four weeks).

Roxy Trot (3 Trifectas) drops one place to third in a heated contest for the Winner’s Circle. She retains her impressive resume of 22 Correct Picks, second only to the AoY leader.

Also with 3 Trifectas, Big Tuna (21 Correct Picks), Craft Brew (20 Correct Picks), and B-Reezy (19 Correct Picks) fill out the middle of the pack (fourth through sixth, respectively).

Jimmy V (2 Trifectas and 20 Correct Picks) falls one place (seventh), a comfortable distance ahead of the un-Patriotic Wise Orangutan (2 Trifectas and 16 Correct Picks) in eighth place.

In ninth place, Sponge Mom (1 Trifecta and 17 Correct Picks) continues to ride her Bear-steed ably, but struggles to find the right supporting cast!

The Strategist opens up a two length lead on the rest of the field for the second time this season. With 5 Trifectas and 21 Correct Picks, she is on track to match her record-breaking pace from last year.

The rest of the leader board gives chase with 3 Trifectas each. Moving up from fourth position, Roxy Trot now holds second place by a head (20 Correct Picks) over Big Tuna (19 Correct Picks). Craft Brew slips into fourth place with 18 Correct Picks, and Little Tuna bearing down with 17 Correct Picks in fifth place.

Jimmy V (2 Trifectas and 18 Correct Picks) and B-Reezy (2 Trifectas and 16 Correct Picks) trail the leaders by only one length in sixth and seventh places, respectively.

Sponge Mom (1 Trifecta and 15 Correct Picks) holds onto eighth place and Wise Orangutan (1 Trifecta and 13 Correct Picks) in ninth place as The Bookie and Atwork continue fighting for their first Trifecta of the year.

After seven Trifectas in week 8, the Marathon of the Ass takes shape.

The Strategist continues to outpace the rest of the field with her 4th Trifecta and 18th Correct Pick of Season V. Big Tuna and Craft Brew, however, will not relent. Both have 3 Trifectas, with Big Tuna still clinging to second place with 17 Correct Picks and Craft Brew trailing by a head with 16 Correct Picks.

Each Analyst in the middle of the field has 2 Trifectas and opportunities to shake up the leader board in the next Crown Race. Roxy Trot maintains in fourth with 17 Correct Picks followed by Jimmy V in fifth with 16 Correct Picks. Tied for sixth, B-Reezy and Little Tuna are about a half length behind with 14 Correct Picks each.

Sponge Mom breaks from the back of the field with her 1st Trifecta and 13th Correct Pick to hold 8th place. Wise Orangutan falls into 9th with 1 Trifecta and 11 Correct Picks, within reach of The Bookie and Atwork who still seek their first Trifecta of the year.

The Strategist is unable to keep up her blistering pace for the second straight week and finds herself in a tighter race. She still leads by a length (3 Trifectas and 15 Correct Picks), but now has three close challengers.

Big Tuna (2 Trifectas and 14 Correct Picks) clings by a head to second place. In third, Craft Brew (2 Trifectas and 13 Correct Picks) trails only by one head. B-Reezy (2 Trifectas and 12 Correct Picks) aspires to retake the AoY crown.

Among the Analyst with 1 Trifecta, Roxy Trot (14 Correct Picks) in fifth and Jimmy V (13 Correct Picks) in sixth continue to perform as well as the frontrunners.

Little Tuna is finding her stride mid-season with 11 Correct Picks and seventh place. Wise Orangutan moves in spurts with 10 Correct Picks and eighth place.

The Strategist misses her stride but holds onto first place by a length (3 Trifectas and 13 Correct Picks). In second place, Big Tuna closes the lead to 1 length with his 2nd Trifecta and 12th Correct Pick. Roxy Trot moves into third place with 1 Trifecta and 12 Correct Picks on the year.

Jimmy V is fourth with 1 Trifecta and 11 Correct Picks, now followed closely by Craft Brew with his 1st Trifecta and 10 Correct Picks on the season.

B-Reezy and Little Tuna share sixth place at 1 Trifecta and 9 Correct Picks, while Wise O. clings to eighth place (1 Trifecta and 8 Correct Picks).

Only three Analysts still seek their first Trifecta of the season: The Bookie, Atwork, and the Bear-bitten Sponge Mom. All three have 8 Correct Picks after 6 weeks.
