Analyst of the Year IV

The Strategist continues her blistering pace, smashing the former record for the most Trifectas in a single season! With 9 Trifectas on the season, she is assured to win the Analyst of the Year at the finish line after putting too much distance between herself and the second place contenders. After three straight trifectas, Will she trot across the line or will she try to tie the record for most consecutive trifectas (4, by Kal Krome)?

Still trailing by two lengths with 7 Trifectas, Big Tuna, B-Reezy, Craft Brew and Wise Orangutan jockey for second place. Big Tuna (another Place!) maintains his edge with 37 Correct Picks. Trailing by a head, B-Reezy and Craft Brew earned their 36th Correct Pick on the season. Wise Orangutan trails the rest with only 31 Correct Picks on the season. All four are vying for a Place on the Winners’ Circle.

Still in contention for a show, Little Tuna and The Bookie look to close out strong after netting their 6th Trifectas. Little Tuna is in sixth with 34 Correct Picks over The Bookie in seventh with 33 Correct Picks. Will they overtake Craft Brew and B-Reezy to etch their names in the Winners’ Circle?

The Strategist sets the record for the most Trifectas in a single season! Will she let up down the home stretch or charge on for the win???

With a two length lead, The Strategist looks to coast to the finish line after notching an 8th Trifecta and 35th Correct Pick on the season.

Only three other Analysts remain in contention–and only if The Strategist fails to earn another Trifecta.

Trailing two lengths behind, Big Tuna runs second with 6 Trifectas and 34 Correct Picks. He leads by one head over B-Reezy and Craft Brew in third place with 6 Trifectas and 33 Correct Picks.

All three can tie The Strategist with 8 Trifectas and force an overtime or win outright should she find herself winded in the closing stretch!

The Strategist ties Little Tuna and B-Reezy for most trifectas! Will she set a new record in the coming weeks?

At the head of the homestretch, The Strategist clinches the only trifecta in the week. She now has 7 Trifectas and 32 Correct Picks on the season.

The rest of the field now faces elimination.

Trailing by two lengths, Big Tuna keeps position of second place with 5 Trifectas and league-leading 31 Correct Picks. Behind by one head, both Craft Brew and B-Reezy contest for third with 5 Trifectas and 30 Correct Picks.

The Marathon of the Ass is not over yet!

Coming out of the far turn, The Strategist clings to a one length lead over four close competitors. Heading into the home stretch, she has 6 Trifectas and 29 Correct Picks.

Jockeying for the inside rail over the rest of the field, however, Big Tuna and Craft Brew have made their moves in the final turn. Big Tuna moves into second place with 5 Trifectas and league-leading 30 Correct Picks over Craft Brew in third with 5 Trifectas and 29 Correct Picks.

B-Reezy has broken stride after one year of incredible picks. He now slips into fourth place after 5 Trifectas and 28 Correct Picks. Following in spurts and lopes, Wise Orangutan trails in fifth with 5 Trifectas and a league-worst 23 Correct Picks (!!??!!).

Little Tuna smells… a potential upset victory after moving into sixth place with 4 Trifectas and 27 Correct Picks, sending The Bookie back to seventh place after she let up in her euphoria over winning the back stretch (Player Haters Preakness). She gallops behind by a head, 4 Trifectas and 26 Correct Picks.

Kal Krome escapes elimination and gains ground on the front runner with 3 Trifectas and 24 Correct Picks. He runs one head ahead of Atwork with 3 Trifectas and 23 Correct Picks. These two Analysts face elimination next week if The Strategist ties the record for annual Trifectas next week!

After a disappointing run around the far turn, Chiefly, the front runners now find themselves challenged by the young colt, Craft Brew!

The Strategist remains in first with 6 Trifectas and 28 Correct Picks, but her attempt to tie the record for 7 Trifectas in a single season has remained elusive.

Charging from the middle of the pack, Craft Brew notches his 5th Trifecta and 27th Correct Pick to move into second place.

With one un-Saintly Correct Pick in Week 12, B-Reezy falls into third place with 5 Trifectas and 26 Correct Picks. Will the defending Analyst of the Year be able to defend his crown down the home stretch?!!?

Wise Orangutan slips into fourth place with 5 Trifectas and a paltry 23 Correct Picks.

Big Tuna drops one place, into fifth, with 4 Trifectas but also with a place-worthy 27 Correct Picks that gives him an opportunity on the outside rail. A few heads behind, The Bookie claims sixth place with 4 Trifectas and 24 Correct Picks.

At the back of the field, Little Tuna jumps Atwork to take seventh place with 3 Trifectas and 24 Correct Picks–edging the young stallion’s 3 Trifectas and 22 Correct Picks.

Kal Krome–the only true rancher among the lot of us!–brings up the rear, still struggling to sell the retired Minds Blank to the stud farm so that he can focus on raising new fillies.

The best thing that can be said about this past week is that Kal Krome’s record of four consecutive trifectas from Season II remains unmatched…

The standings remain unchanged from last week, as all Analysts fail to maintain the blistering pace of this season.

The Strategist remains in first, followed by B-Reezy in second and Wise Orangutan in third.

Big Tuna in fourth place, slightly ahead of Craft Brew in fifth, and The Bookie in sixth place.

Atwork’s holds onto seventh, trailed by Little Tuna and Kal Krome.
