Coming out of the far turn of The Marathon of the Ass, the Analysts have their first banner week with five Trifectas!

KateTDid (2 Trifectas, 8 Correct Picks) yields ground to The Strategist (2 Trifecta, 8 Correct Picks) and they run neck and neck in first place. Mo Money (1 Trifecta, 9 Correct Picks) remains in third place over a surging midfield.

With their first Trifectas of the season, Jimmy V, Sponge Mom, Big Tuna, and Bookie escape the gate before reaching the back stretch. On Correct Picks, Bookie and Big Tuna (7 Correct Picks each) share fourth place, while Jimmy V and Sponge Mom share sixth (6 Correct Picks).

Standings | PC-Fecta Derby IX | Final Results

PC-Fecta Derby IX

Heading into the home stretch, we had a three way tie for first place between three Analysts seeking their first PC-Fecta Derby Crown! Could one or more of them outlast the others? And the Winner is…

The Strategist (24 points) with her first PC-Fecta Derby in nine attempts! She rode her Bills for four straight weeks, crushing the field with 17 points in Leg 2 and icing the Crown with 7 points in Leg 4.

Emerging from the middle of the field, Craft Brew (21 points) ran a steady race with points in all four Legs, taking the Offense PC-Fecta (+7) in the Leg 4, sealing Place!

The filly Boo Boo (20 points) also scored in all four Legs, adding just enough points (+3) in the home stretch to finish in Show.

Atwork (18 points) climbs into fourth place. The early leader, KateTDid (17 points), finishes in fifth place. Mo Money (15 points) takes sixth place, edging B-Reezy (14 points) in seventh — the top half of the field.

In the bottom half of the field, Bookie (13 points) makes a late push for eighth, followed by Jimmy V (10 points) in ninth position. Big Tuna (9 points) claims tenth place over Roxy Trot (9 points) in eleventh on third tiebreaker (2.3 pdpg vs. -7.0 pdpg). Sponge Mom (6 points) shooed away the flies to take twelfth position.

At the back of the field, Woody (4 points) outlasts Wise Orangutan (4 points) for thirteenth place based on second tiebreaker (2 v. 1 Correct Home Team Picks. Wreck It Ralph (3 points) noses out Little Tuna (3 points) for fifteenth position. Bug Bug (0 points) had an episode of agoraphobia and chose to remain in the gate!
